    Title: Territory Manager/Sr. Project Manager

    Jay Kielt began his career in 1990 as a construction labourer, quickly advancing through various roles thanks to his relentless curiosity and unwavering drive. His career path included positions as a Water Damage Technician, Field Crew Supervisor, Project Manager, Branch Manager and ultimately, Manager/Owner of Higgins ProTeam in London, Ontario. Under Jay’s leadership, HPT flourished until 2012, when the company was acquired by On Side Restoration.

    With over 35 years of industry experience, Jay gained a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of the business including how to effectively triage and handle the enormous volume of CAT (catastrophe) files that come with weather events. His extensive background not only shaped his leadership abilities but also provided him with invaluable insights into how to effectively manage and grow a business in the restoration and construction sectors.

    Path to Net Zero Carbon

    The City of Toronto has ambitious goals for Green House Gas (GHG) reductions through TransformTO. To achieve these emission goal the City of Toronto has takes a multi pronged approach to the building sector. You will hear the speaker touch on policy, programs and support mechanisms put in place to get the city of Toronto on a path to Net Zero Carbon. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

    Presenter: Duncan MacLellan
    Title:Project Manager, Existing Buildings

    Duncan MacLellan is a Project Manager in the City of Toronto's Environment and Climate Division working with existing buildings and infrastructure around the city of Toronto. With almost 15 years in the energy and climate space, Duncan has previously worked for the utility side and private contractors looking at the energy use in buildings. Currently, he is responsible for channel partners, new opportunities, and external relations for all existing building programs.
