The City of Toronto has ambitious goals for Green House Gas (GHG) reductions through TransformTO. To achieve these emission goal the City of Toronto has takes a multi pronged approach to the building sector. You will hear the speaker touch on policy, programs and support mechanisms put in place to get the city of Toronto on a path to Net Zero Carbon. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Alireza is the President of Toronto Building Managers' and Operators' Association (TBMOA) and the GTA Operations Manager for Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT, a global company specializing in owning and managing medical buildings. With over two decades of experience in facility management and operations within the Canadian commercial real estate industry, he specializes in driving efficiency and sustainability. A graduate of Western University with a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability, he is a strong advocate for empowering frontline building operations professionals—particularly Building Operators—as one of the key strategy for achieving the City's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to Net Zero by 2040.
