On February 8, 2023, we will be hosted by LPI Mechanical Inc. at their head office to dive into an interactive workshop on Backflow Prevention. The focus will be on the various types of backflow devices, how they operate, and why they are needed in your buildings.

The discussion will be led by Chad Plourde; LPI’s lead backflow certified technician and licensed plumber. Chad has been testing backflow devices and performing cross connection survey’s for more than a decade and has been an integral part of the LPI team as the municipal bylaws have expanded across the GTA.

Joining him is Luis Cervantes. Luis is also certified in backflow prevention testing and a licensed plumber. He brings with him years of experience and specializes in backflow preventor installations and repairs.

Chad and Luis will also discuss Cross-Connection surveys and their importance. You will also learn LPI’s process in providing engineered drawings for new installations and the permit process in coordinating inspections and how reports are submitted to the city.

TBMOA members will be allowed to tour LPI's new facility and get behind the scene look including a fully equipped gym, basketball court, rec room, full-size kitchen, health & safety room, the “Lions Den”, and a 3000sq ft shop.
